Constructing a 12.5" Newtonian

If you want to see how the tube is attached to the base and how that part works, see this closeup of Box. I used 3/4" thick Birch plywood for the base. By careful laying out of parts, I was able to construct it all with just a half sheet of plywood. It cost only 15% more for the 3/4" over the 1/2" inch, so I decided to use the stronger wood. It does add significantly to the weight, however. Thie scope weights 100 lbs with mirror in place.
